On Wednesday 26th February, The Department for Environment children are leading a whole school assembly based on World Wildlife Day.

The theme is “Wildlife Conservation Finance: Investing in People and Planet”. They have decided they would like to invest in their small area of our planet by creating bee and bug hotels on our school site to conserve bees and butterflies that may be on our school grounds. To do this they ask that on Wednesday the 26th, all pupils come into school wearing an animal themed accessory. This could be an animal print headband, animal ears, socks, a jumper with an animal on etc... Please note this is not non-uniform day so please make sure the item is worn in addition to the usual school uniform.

In exchange for wearing this accessory please can pupils bring in a voluntary contribution of £1 so this can go towards the pupils being able to develop their own bee and butterfly hotels on our school site. Thank you, Mrs Nicklin and the DfEn children.
