Ofsted inspection
St Mary’s was last inspected by Ofsted on 6 January 2026.
Our school was graded as expected standard across all seven areas of the new inspection framework, with safeguarding confirmed as being met, meaning that in every area the school is meeting the high bar set out by Ofsted.
The inspectors were extremely positive about the school, describing what it is like to be a pupil here as follows:
“Pupils feel safe and appreciated in this warm and welcoming school. Staff care deeply about pupils' wellbeing. This creates a peaceful, focused environment for learning… In this tightknit school community, staff and parents and carers work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive ongoing encouragement with their work… pupils are well equipped for the next stage of their education.”
